They tell you to refrain from sex for 6 weeks to give the inscision time to heal trust me you might feel fine but I can assure you it will hurt like hell if you try it I know from experience ;)

I have never had a c section, I have had three naturals though, and had sex within a week of all of them. I don't imagine it would be good for your incision to have sex too soon.

Long story short, if the doctor says don't do it, you'd be best to not do it; honestly, probably no one on this site knows better than a medical professional.

But just think, after six weeks, it'll be amazing. ;)

I don't think you have to worry about cancer, but I would worry about the incisions inside. That is one of the reasons the doctors recommend waiting. You have a check-up coming up, ask your doctor then and best of all to you.

Cancer? Um... as mentioned, the concern is for correct healing.

And you should take this seriously. The doctor didn't say this just to keep you and your husband bothered. Different story, but my wife didn't get the proper physical rest after a natural birth, and damn near bled to death a week after her daughter was born.

Its not a joke. Its about proper healing.

Be thankful you managed not to hurt yourself, as far as you know. Give your body time to heal.

If you both need a release there are other means to satisfy during this healing period.

The risk of blood clots is very real. It is not just a scare story. I had two c-sections and disobeyed my dr's orders, after the second child was born, about not driving for 6 weeks. I drove to the mall to return some baby shower items and in the shop I started bleeding. I was never so scared. Could not call my husband to come and get me - I had the car! I made it home and my husband chewed my a** out and we drove to the ER. So much for being smarter than my doctor. Some of the internal stitches had broken loose.

Hope all turns out well for you.

Oh yes, I did fine. But what a lesson - got chewed out by my husband, my doctor, and scared witless. Lol. Maybe that is one reason we never had another child after - exception for adopting our youngest. When we are young, we think of invincibility. Now that I am close to the age of dirt...

Take care and enjoy that baby! They grow up all too fast.

NO, do not feel that way. Just take it as one of life's lessons. Be glad you are healthy, that is a big factor in healing.
