I am cutting a 8 inch wide channel in my kitchen floor. It is a slab. I am wondering how deep the score should be made.

How are you cutting? Cement saw and then breaking it out with a hammer? You do know you have heavy wire mesh underneath the pour don't you? Since the pour's about 4" thick I'd score as deep as I could. Good luck. Tom
