I just had an electrician to my home because the outlets in the basement kept tripping. He thought that possibly my 2 year old ejector pump motor may have gone bad. When it is unplugged the electrical outlets in the basement work just fine. How long should ejector pumps last? The bathroom it services is rarely used. Is this normal for an ejector pump to effect my electrical outlets?

Your pump should last more then two years. I would pull the pump and check the motor windings. What kind of warranty came with the system? Let me know, Good luck, Tom
