I recently met a man who seems absolutely fantastic, but who has only been divorced 6 months. I have been divorced for 2 years now. We hit it off immediately and lots of texts and e mails were sent. However, after a fantastic first date ( best I've been on in 2 years ) he text to say his daughter found a text saying he wanted to see me again - she doesn't want her dad to date and as he has custody this has caused him to pull away and say he's not ready - what should I do ? I really like him but if he's not ready then he's not ready and I know not to push and come across clingy.

Not quite sure, if it were me I'd just tell him you understand, but maybe in the future when he and if he's ready you'd like a chance for that second date.
