My boyfriend who is now my ex, tried to rape my best friend and threatened her not to tell me. Should I forgive him, or should I move on, knowing I love him a lot. He was always nice, and he never liked her. Was it cause I never got to see him? I don't know what to do anymore. I'm confused.

If this was genuine than... Your pathetic for letting your friend get violated and than asking ''should I forgive him'' Why aren't you at the police station this second?

My recommendation is you get help before someone attempts to rape your child ,and you say ''Should I forgive them''?

Ok so from your description of him being nice etc. It really adds on to her just saying this.
Ask her for proof the cloths she was supposedly attempted to be raped in they should be ripped or have prints depending on how long ago this happened. Ask her when this happened than ask him were he was that night and who he was with. Get all info possible were she was almost raped. You would be surprised if he so much as touched a doorway their should be prints and he had to put up a fight to try to rape her so their should be something their.

Depending on how long ago it was, retrieving any sort of evidence could be near impossible. Besides, fingerprints will not show on clothing, well it would depend on the type of fabric and fignerprints alone will not be sufficient enough evidence to provide a case for attempted rape.

Although, I know the authorities don't take these cases lightly, a victims statement might even be enough to press charges.

Yes, my anger at why someone would even have a second though and question this.
But then, we have others on here that try to justify their boyfriend who are sex offenders or pedophiles and so on. So I guess letting him rape a few friends is not a big deal.

This question can't be real, can it? I mean, I read this and ask myself how someone could be confused as to whether they should forgive someone that tried to rape someone.

On the other hand, Fr_Chuck makes an excellent point (as usual) about the people that try to justify sex offenders and pedophiles... so I guess it could be real.

Well it seem as if many people are being harsh about this question. But can you blame them? Seeing as how there is no proof I would just forget about this guy. Weather he did it or not you should let him go and loose all contact with him. And if your best friend happens. To be lying then you need to forget her too. This is a bad situation so I'm sure its difficult but I would believe my friend unless you have evidence.
