I have a Stat Select 50 Gal Gas Hot Water Heater made in 2005. Yesterday there was no hot water. The pilot light had gone out. I relit the pilot and the burner came on.

This morning there was again no hot water. The pilot was out again and I relit it and turned on the burner. I noticed that the burner cut off after about 3-5 minutes and the pilot was off again. I did this several more times and the same happened.

I tried just having the pilot on and it went out without the burner on.

Could this be a pilot problem or a control unit problem.hnks for any help.

No hot water, Burner will not stay lit. Thius morning the blower does not go on after several attempts to turn off let sit and turn back on.

Nothing, It's like no power. Circuit panel check and is working, brand new 2005.

Do you still have the water heater? What is the model #?
