Mold from having too much insulation plus Tyvek wrap.
I recently had my house walls blown in with foam insulation. I am now ready to have vinyl siding installed on the outside. My vinyl siding installer said that I would get mold because the house is too tight since it is already wrapped in Tyvek. He wants to remove the Tyvek wrap.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I doubt your vinyl installer is the one to be taking advice on this topic. Taking off your housewrap is a bad idea unless its installed poorly. Iam betting your house isn't even that tight. Spray foam doesn't equal a tight house.

I connected to the Tyvek home page and found the answer you referred to; i.e. preventing mold by use of Tyvek.

    Thanks again.
