Does filing for support give the father visitation
I live in WA state, my ex (child's father) lives in GA and has been recently released from jail. He has never seen her, nor asked to see her. If I file or child support against him, will he get to see her and she has to go back to GA to do so even though she's 10?

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. This can lead to confusion. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

He can file to get to see her whether you file for support or not. Generally, courts treat support and visitation separately. So, if he did ask a court to see her it is possible visitation could be granted.

You owe it to your daughter to file for support. That money can help with raising her.

To help further we need to know where jurisdiction lies. Was your daughter born in WA? Has there ever been any previous court action? If so, where? How long have you been in WA?
