My ex has been with his girlfriend for the past 18 months and it hasn't been easy for him she been chatting to someone else who he found about, she said she'l stop chatting to him but hasn't. She has another phone which she has hidden. And says that she doesn't anymore. For the past month he can hear her over the phone that she is texting someone else but denys it that she is. So he has resorted to getting a spy camera to see if she is and where she keeps her phone? But he keeps coming back to me and telling me he regrets leaving me, and this has been going on for the past year now.

It doesn't matter. You need to stop talking to the ex, go no contact, and let him sort out his things within his relationship. Respect him and the relationship, if he ever ends it and then goes for you, then you have a choice. Remember that if he is talking to you while he is with someone else, what is going to keep him from talking to someone else while he is with you?

Don't understand why be with someone that is violent and a blatant liar? He's now saying he's had enough and just wants to be on his own. Doubt it he was ever truly serious about her. He was planing on marrying her then delayed, started planing and delaying again times now.
