    Selling house owned with an ex.
    My Ex and I are selling our joint home. I am remarried and they are saying my new spouse has to sign the deed to the old house to sell it. Why? He was never on the mortgage or deed and never lived in that house either.

    In the US in some states, if you are married, and it is a community property state, your new wife has rights to everything you own, so they will want her to sign to be sure she is aware of the sell and is signing her interest away
