I have had a hard lump behind my right ear for maybe a year now. It gets bigger and smaller at times and can be painful (shooting or aching pain). I've showed it to my PCP several times and he thought it was a swollen gland, but now he thinks it could be a cyst (or worse?); however, he still hasn't told me who to see about it! Do I see a ENT specialist or a surgeon? (Yes, I know I need a new doctor, but not practical at this point)!
