    Silver is a very good conductor. Used in Solder, plating etc.

    Well to answer your question, Silver is not often used in electrical work because it is cost prohibitive,

    Silver is actually a better conductor than Gold because Gold is softer than Silver.

    Now Silver and Gold are used heavily in the Electronic field.
