Can a female get a hernia below her right rib?

I started hurting there suddenly yesterday and it is swollen it is a throbbing pain that get worse without warning... help

Anyone can get a hernia just about anywhere in the body, but this sounds more like your pancreas (or possibly gall bladder), so go to an ER if you can't get to your doctor right away.

I have had my gall bladder removed does that change any thing

No, I really wasn't worrying about anything but your pancreas.
If you don't have insurance, they will talk to you afterwards about Pell grants and payment plans.
