Laptop screen where white has blue lines
Wondering if anyone can help. My laptop has gone all weird on me, where the back ground screen is white I have lots of flashing blue horizontal lines these are constant. I noticed that when I stared to close to the lid at about 10" to closed they completely disappear.
Anyone gone any ideas is this easily fixed or sorted?
    Many thanks

    Hi,

My name is Rathish and I am working with Dell Social Media Team.
You have mentioned in the post that the screen of the laptop is flashing blue horizontal lines and stays constant and when you close the lid they disappear.

I would request you to first connect an external monitor to the computer and check if you are getting display on the monitor. If you are getting display without any issues. It means there is an issue with LCD.
It might be an issue with the LCD cable which is connected from motherboard to the LCD screen.
Please let me know the system model and operating system you are using. So that I can help you further.

Hi many thanks for the reply,

Not too great on computers I have a hp g7035ea and its windows vista had it about 4 years.
Linked it up to a monitor and everything seemed OK.
To get rid of the flashing blues lines at the moment I've changed my screen setting to black so the flashing lines have gone so no headaches! It seems to be where there is a white background and also some of the colours seem to be muting into each other a lot of red? Not sure if any of this info is helpful as I said have no clue about computers use it to do me shopping on!

Any help would be much appreciated
    Cheers

    Hi krypto ,
Thanks for the reply. Since you have already tried an external monitor and it gives clear picture means there is an issue with the LCD screen of the laptop. Since I am not trained on Hp laptops. I request you to get in touch with HP support.

Any further help required. Please reply me back

    Thanks & Regards
