My foot was twisted in my car slamming my brakes to avoid a blow out from a tractor trail or,now I have severe pain on the top,side and ankle of my foot.I can't see my foot doc until he gets back from vacation,It stings when I walk and if anyone has any answers for what they think is wrong please help.

If it's swollen, ice.
After a day or two, moist heat.
Ace bandage, elevate foot, try not to walk on it.
Pain could be anything from swelling pressing on nerve, bruise below skin pressing on nerve, torn muscle or tendon, bone chip or actual break.
