Follow up question to 12 panel urine screen
Dr. Bill I do know the PM dr test for oxycodone on the 12 panel. He will do the POC In office to test but won't send I to the lab because I have no ins. So will the oxycontin ER show up different than my ms contin

Fundamentally there is no difference in the POC and the instrumental IA used at a lab. They both rely on specific antibodies to detect a drug or metabolite. There is a specific panel available for Oxycodone that will identify the metabolites oxymorphone and nor-oxycodone neither of which are metabolites of morphine (MS Contin). Without knowing the specific configuration of the 12 panel it would be impossible to say. It would be my recommendation that you assume the distinction will be made because it can be made.
