How to get my daughter in school if my ex won't sign anything
My daughter is with me in Florida for less than six months. How do I get her enrolled in school if my ex won't sign a statement saying she can? I can enroll her without it

Contact your County School District. They will be able to explain you. However, if he will not sign, you should turn in the form without his signature. You also must have proof of your residence in the school district, a copy of the child's birth certificate, and the child's immunization records.

Generally, the children should attend school in the district where the custodial parent resides.

Is there a court order for custody ? How does the school even know you don't have legal custody, since you are the mother ?

If you went to school, this is my daughter, and I want to enroll her, why did they question your legal status ?

I will assume he has legal custody and is merely allow girl to be with you ?

I'm confused. As GV said, the child goes to school where the custodial parent resides. So why are you registering her? What custody orders exist? How old is the child?

There is just too much missing info here.
