    Tub and shower combo use for shower only
    Can I use a tub and shower kit for a shower only? I can't find the shower only fixture I want to match the tub fixture

    Shower only uses a plug at the bottom of the new unit,thus blocking a tub option

    Joey hit it right on the head-or was it the bottom? Anyway, access the valve and you will find a 1/2 IP opening for the tub spout. Screw in a brass 1/2" IP plug and you are ready to go.

    Joey nailed it! Purchase a 1/2" brass plug and some Teflon Tape and plug the opening at the bottom of the valve. You now have a shower valve. Thanks Joey, Tom
