    Hi I am wondering if I have a collection bill in the states but live in canada can I still travel in the states. I got screwed over there in California and feel ripped off but really want to still travel in the states . Thanks for any help

    Yes, you can still travel in the usa.

    Not paying your debts to a credit company or whatever is NOT a criminal offence.

    Now if you go and get yourself convicted of some crime, then you might not be able to travel in the usa.

    Thank you so much for your ans. I am not a criminal just a traveller who was wronged and still dealing with it. It is a comfort to know I can still travel to the states.

    Now if it goes to court and I do no show up is that a different story.

    No it's not.

    If you don’t show up, you will have a CIVIL judgment made against you. But, CIVIL judgments do not affect your travel abilities…only CRIMINAL (that is, when the government is putting you on trial)
