I have a infected wisdom tooth and the antiobitics the dentist gave me aren't helping.
I have severe pain in the ear from it and I am feeling dizzy also.
She said if antibiotics don't settle it then it needs to be removed.
Firstly does anybody know if the dizziness is from the wisdom tooth and also I suffer from severe anxiety and petrified of the dentist. Would they knock me out if I requested it?
    Many thanks

I don't know the answer to the first part of your question but, yes you can have anesthesia during the removal. Both of my boys were asleep during their procedure. Good luck. I hope you feel better soon.

The dizziness is from the infection in the tooth causing inflammation, which causes swelling, which is affecting your ear drainage tube (eustacian tube), probably swollen shut or partly shut, so mucous can't drain down your throat. Have the tooth removed.
I would not let a regular dentist remove an infected wisdom tooth. Pay the extra cost of an oral surgeon.
