    Walked around in attic now ceiling fan does not work
    Was in the attic and now a nearby ceiling fan does not work. How do I check the wiring??

    Drop the ceiling canopy and check the voltage at the connection. You may need to look at any junction box for loose connections. My guess is you stepped on a wire and pulled it loose from the ceiling box or a junction box.

    You have to find them, usually will have a number of wires running out of them. Remove the covers and check for loose wires. Make sure all wire nuts are tight.

    Chances are there is a loose connection in the fan box, or a junction box in the attic. Or the romex could have a staple in it. You need a voltage tester. You want to check that you get about 120v between the black and white wire. Make sure you didn't trip the breaker before you go too crazy.

    Also check GFI's in the bathrooms. (press test, then reset)
