My girlfriend got cought trying to cash a cheak for a 1000 dollors that assent made out to her. She has another felony for manslaughter with 8 years pending there what is she looking at here? I'm in Virginia. She has been out of prison for 16 months and was about to get off probation! Any help would be great! Thank you

She was convicted of manslaughter in some other state? Assuming she is convicted of this new charge, her probation will probably be revoked and she will be required to serve the balance of her sentence after she has completed whatever sentence she is given in Virginia for the check fraud charge.

This seems like it should be obvous to anyone. What am I missing here?

That's what I figured! No the manslaughter conviction was in virginal also. There is no doubt she will be convicted of this. The picked her up at the cheak casing place. Is it up to the judge that sentenced her for manslaughter for the time she has to serve for that case? She would have got off on self defence and he told her that at the sentencing but she took a plea cause she was scared to get life
