That depends on the amount of prep work involved and the contractor.

If wanting to have a job done, get bids from at lest 3 painters. Make sure they are licensed and insured.

If wanting to bid on a job u will have to guess time for prep and time to paint. Do this for a few areas and u will be able to adjust it for sq ft.

Anything under a buck is a bargain. Anything under 50 cents, I'd be suspicious of their professionalism.

No way to tell. Quality of construction, accessories, appliances etc. Miele DW vs. GE,slab, crawl, basement? $100-200/sq ft.
