    How do I look up judgements at the court house
    I have not tried anything yet ,I don't know where to start?

    Do you know what case you are looking for? Do you have a case number or the names of the parties? If so,

    • Find out where the courthouse is.
    • Go there.
    • Find the clerk's office.
    • Ask someone behind the desk that you want to see the case file.
    • Look in it.
    • When you find something labeled "judgment", you probably have found what you are looking for.


    Also, many clerks have on-line dockets. If so, you can search by party name online.

    Federal courts have the capability of looking up the actual filed documents. Google "PACER". Some state courts are going that route as well.
