Have you seen Live Security Platinum?
Hi! I`m new here and I have a problem with an application called Live Security Platinum. This tool is scanning my PC, bombarding me with warnings and telling me that my computer is infected. I really want to stop it, but when I close the messages, they pop up again.

Please, let me know how to get rid of it?

I will guess you clicked on a link for a "free" PC check or something. This is often had to get rid of. Have you ran all of your normal virus and malware programs trying to get rid of it ?

You may just have to take it into a professional to have it cleaned out

You are right that is exactly what happened. I wanted to scan my PC with some free AV and look what happened. But I can proudly say that this is done now! I looked for some info and I found this http://www.americanpendulum.com/de/2012/07/11/live-security-platinum-virus-how-to-remove/. There were some removal instructions and I tried to follow them, but in vain. I failed. Then I decided that it would be much easier if I use an automated AV tool and that it why I run Malwarebytes. It really worked! I think I`m fine now. No pop-up messages, no scary scans. I think I`m OK now!!

It wasn't a free scan, you were tricked into installing very nasty malware.

Scamware, you got to love it ;)
This one is a right PITA as well.
Lures you into a false sense of security and then demands money for making unneeded repairs..
