    Dryer is grinding.
My whirlpool dryer is grindingand I even found tiny shards of metal in the lint trap. The fabric seal inside the back of the drum has fallen so I think its related. I've tried manually spinning it backwards with no luck. Any advice?

Sometimes there are glides or roller wheels in the front and a center bearing in the real. There are also front and rear drum seals that fit around the entire drum. It is always best to replace all wear parts at the same time. Your dryer will thank you by doing a better job and using less gas or electric. PS a new belt while it is apart would also be wise.
