My son was arrested last night for armed robbery in Mississippi {Tupelo} He draws a disability check and considered mildly retarded. Could this help his case No one was hurt

Doubt it will ever be allowed into evidence, if he knows right from wrong, that is the issue, if he does not know right from wrong then he has a serious mental illness and will need secure care perhaps. It may help some in sentencing, but could include mental health counseling or care.
