Wiring two light switches in series
Coming into the box are 2 sets of white, black and ground wires. One switch powers track lighting inside and the other switch is supposed to power an outside porch light. Both switches are wired normally each with white, black and ground. There is a black wire connecting the two switches also. The porch light switch has no power without the connecting black wire. Bottom line is that the porch light will not light. Confused? I know I am...
