Began to pee more often and it became very painful to urinate. It's been a week now
And I am worried. It has not been worse but it still hurts and smells a bit. Is this a GYN matter or should I wait.

I would go as it could be a UTI.

I would definitely get that checked out if you can. Health issues are not something to mess around with too much. It might not be too serious but better safe than sorry. The lack of lubrication can make you sore but it shouldn't affect your urine. It could be something as small as a yeast infection and in that case u just take a pill- sometimes literally just 1 pill. Get it checked. Better to get checked than to continue dealing with the issue.
