    Quick claim deeds
I added my husband to a quick claim deed at Wells Fargo Bank where they notorized the paper work. I did not send into the mortgage company and really forgot all about it after that. I did it because my daughter is in Bagdad and I flet like I needed to add some one else.
We are not getting divorced and I do not think that it is binding because I did not follow-thru on the paper work. Once I got it notarized; was I supposed to take to the mortgage company to make it all legal. The bank did not aks me where to send or anything??

Actually, you should first file it with the county. Its not fully legal until recorded. The Mortgage holder might object since they have a primary lien on the property.

As Scott noted, you don't send it to the mortgage company,

And honestly if you don't know that much about deeds, you should not be doing one. ( sorry but people have ended up giving up their property by mistake)

Next once it is notorised, even if it just sits in a drawer, if you died, your husband can still just take it and file it at the court house, it would still be valid.

If you destroyed the orgainal copy and never filed it at the court house, it would end it, but your husband could still even then file a lien on it, if he has copies of it,

Never put someone on a deed you don't want on there, he will need to sign it back over to you for it to be completely legal and not have an issue in future sells of the house
