Changing the position of connection to soil pipe
I am installing a new kitchen sink and the waste is lower than the soil pipe connection so I need to lower this . I understand I can use a strap on fixture with a solvent on the stack pipe , can you buy a blank to cover the original higher connection?

    Hi RG

Why not leave the top connection as it is and simply CAP the line coming out of the wall?

What kind of pipe are we talking about?

Finally, did you try installing the PTRAP to see if that drops you down far enough to make your final connection? If not, try it and see if that will resolve this.

    Back to you...
