    Ground wiring
My cable and phone grounding wire are on the side of the house and my electrical panel in the rear of the house. My electrical panel is grounded to a rod located just outside. A second ground wire is attached from the inside panel to a gas line which runs over to where the cable and phone ground wire enter onto the crawl space. The phone and cable ground wire are attached to the gas line. I don't think this is acceptable. I also need to reroute the gas line. How would I safley ground the cable and phone ground wires?

Drive another ground rod, and pick up an acorn to attach the ground wire to the ground rod.

    How old is your home?

You never ground your electrical service to a gas line. This is a very serious code violatiion!

You always "Bond" pipes together so that they are all at the same potemtial.

If you are not sure what you have then get a licensed electrician out to inspect the connections.
