Can an older sibling in Kansas file for custody of a younger sibling in Oklahoma
My younger sister is from Oklahoma and I'm from Kansas. She is 15 and she does not get along with her mother or her grandmother. Her mother has custody but she lives with her grandmother, she doesn't listen to her caretakers and I'm worried about her. Our father is in prison so he isn't any help to this situation. I am 22 and have all my affairs in order. Is there any way I could file for custody of my little sister?

Sure - I just don't know whether the request would be granted. You would have to show that you physically, mentally, financially can care for her.

In some places you can be the guardian without permission from the Court. Would your mother/grandmother agree with that?

Somewhat agree but... firstly she has to prove that her mother is unfit parent.
