Wiring a room from breaker to a switch with recptacles that will awlays be hot
I need help in wiring a shed. I will be coming from the breaker. I will have two lights on one switch and three receptacles in secession The receptacles will awlays be hot. Should I use 12-2 or 14-2 with 15amp breaker as I will be running some shop tools as well as the lights?
    Thanks.

How far is the shed from breaker panel? The distance will determine the size of wire needed.

Good point. I assumed a sub panel already installed in the shed.

The main panel is in my basement 75 feet away from shed #1. I have two sheds side by side and shed #2 was just destroyed by a tree falling on it . 30yrs ago I ran a 14-3 wire to shed #1 from the main panel in my basement. When I built shed #2 I put a breaker box in shed #1 with 2 breakers and ran a wire to shed #2 so each shed had separate breakers. I have to replace the wire from the breaker to shed #2 as it was destroyed.

May as well stick with 14-2 and 15 amp breaker then.

You can run cable from shed #1 to outlets 1, 2 and 3 and light, in any order, with cable from light to switch for switch leg. Or you can run cable to outlets 1,2 and 3 and switch, in any order, with cable from switch to light.

    Need diagram? State preferance.
