That is to be expected. How many hours was it from the time you drank the beer until you tested?

What were you told about the test leading you to believe otherwise?

Oh dr bill, your info rally helped me. Now I finished that one beer around 3 to 4 m, I had been tested 3 times in 2 weeks and thought my random wasn't going to come up, but guess what? Any way, I hoe I am not premature in all this but, 1 week later I have heard nada from my po or the lab, u think I'm OK at this point? I don't have lab results and certainly will not call about them.

What is your gender, weight, height? It was a 12 oz, 5%. If you know it the lab cutoff used is helpful. Clarify for me the time from drink until test... how many hours.

Well dr Bill, I am 54 and weigh about 13lbs and am physically active, I run and lift some wts. The beer a standard 12 oz corona, again thank you for your time and knowledge on this matter, it's very difficult to find info that is not linked to lab websites that claim absolutely 80 hrs for any amount of etoh, by the way, I think the cut off is 500, I live in California if that helps. Thanks again.

EtG created from one beer (5%) generally eliminates in less than 24 hours. I know of no timed study that has detected EtG beyond 21.5 hours using a 100 ng/mL cutoff.

These are laboratory based studies and while technically more precise do not represent real-life conditions. The only study conducted in a naturalistic setting was Wojcik & Hawthorne and involved only 19 subjects.

As you have noted all of the promotional material is phrased so as to lead the reader to believe that the test "detects even small amounts of alcohol" for 80-120 hours. With reliance on that information the false negative rate for the test is in excess of 95%.

Neither EtG nor EtS testing has been approved by the FDA even though it is marketed for and used in medical diagnostics and pre-market approval is required.

At any rate, can't guarantee you pass at 25 hours but if EtG is detected you will be the first of record.

Also would you provide you weight again. Left off a number.
