    Honda accord starter cut relay repair
    Sometimes, my honda accord 2001 start and sometimes it won't. The starter lookk fine nad I have a new battery.
    Someone told me to look at the starter cut replay. I know it it located someway in hunder the dricer dash board and near the fuse. Can you please show me/ draw me a sketch the exact location.

    In all the years I have been working on Hondas, I have never seen a starter cut relay (manual transmission) fail--it's a real long shot. It should be located on the left kick panel, secured by a 10mm bolt to a bracket.

    Instead, I would disconnect the negative battery cable and:

    . Remove the starter motor and have it tested--most auto parts stores will do it for free. I suspect the plunger and contacts inside the starter solenoid are so badly pitted/eroded that they don't always make good contact and start.

    . Clean the battery terminals and cable connections, including those going to the starter motor. Carefully check the battery cables for hidden corrosion and breaks.

    . Check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.
