    In some states, when it "sells" the old owner has a right of redemption for a number of days, or even a number of months, the property I bought in one state I had to wait 3 years.

    Now if they bought it and just took deed after waiting on that period, it is different.

    In some states they get ownership at the date of the sale,

    So it depends on your area. Following that they will have to evict you, so they will give you a 30 day notice to move.
