My period is around 22 days late.. I've been more emotional lately with sore and tender breasts and lower back pains, I've been throwing up on and off throughout the days (but I have acid reflux so throwing up comes and goes from time to time already).. I just bought the e.p.t. but when is the best time to take it and how?. some say in the urine steam some say in a cup.. some say in the mornin some say anytime.. this would be my first test ever (and first pregnancy) but not my first missed period (irregular cycles).. I'm really hoping for a + sign :-)

The best way to test is by using the HPT with first morning urine as the concentration of hCG is at it's highest in the morning. As for stream or cup, you should follow the manufacturers directions, however I have found that stream is more accurate.

Also, as far as reading the test... It needs to be read in the time limit stated on the box. Do not read it any later than the specified time or you will get an evaporation line that many women mistake for a positive.
