Soo. I have this guy friend, Dallas, and he is a very honest, open minded person. He is "straightedge" he doesn't drink. Smoke, or do any drugs of any kind.
When we first started being friends he was dating this girl that cheated on him on the daily.
No him and his more recent girlfriend broke up and he tells me that he doesn't want to a relationship yet he tells me about this girl that lives in the city that he really wants to date.
And I think my heart is breaking?
We have only had like one talk about us dating and it was incredibly awkward.
I don't want him to date that girl but I want him to be happy. I just really don't want to lose him in my life.
He is the most genuine person ever. I just wish that he could see me as a girlfriend in stead of his best friend.

You can't make anybody do anything - and that includes dating and/or loving you.

If you two are meant to be it will eventually happen. In the meantime get a life apart from him. Don't sit around mooning over him.
