    Installing new 120v outlets
I bought a foreclosed home a few months back and want to upgrade the wiring in some locations of the house. For instance, my TVs entertainment center. The wiring is 2 wire without a ground, going to a 2 prong outlet.

My question is: I like the look of industrial type apartments and houses where the wiring is on the outside of the wall ran in conduit. Would I be able to do that as long as I encase all of it into conduit and secure it to the walls? I have easily access to the basement and attics where I could run a 12/3 from an outlet into a conduit to the basement where I would install a new breaker.

My question is can I run outlets and switches on the outside of the wall inside conduit? I'm going to try and find a Google picture of what I mean..

    Thanks.

Yes. But cable is not normally run in conduit, use individual wires.
