So I originally have dark brown hair and for the past year I have gone black then back to brown. So since it's summer I thought why not dye my hair red. I used loreal hicolor in magenta mind you my hair was a medium brown at the time. So I dyed my hair and it worked on my roots but the color made my hair patchy and just aweful looking. So being frantic I rushed to bel air and dyed my hair jet black. Now I have pitch black hair which is unflattering but even worse out in the sun it turns purple! How can I get my hair back to brown without bleach.
