How can I get a letter from the bank that my SSA funds are exempt
I am 67 years old and receive SS benefits as my only source of income.

Those SSA benefits are directly deposited into my account, that is the only money that goes into that account, because that's all the money I have.
How can I get the bank to earmark my account so that Calif state taxes can't levy my account, I asking for a letter of exemption, but the bank will not give me one.
According to the law the banks are required to protect an account 2 times the amount of your monthly benefit.
