I'm trying to get pregnant... I just want to know what my chances of having twins are? I'm a fraternal twin (we're both girls), my mom's sister has fraternal twin girls and her brother has fraternal twin girls. My dad's sister has fraternal twin girls and his brother's son has two sets of twins (1st set is fraternal boy and girl; 2nd set are fraternal girls). My mother-in-law's sister has fraternal twin boys and my husband's cousin has fraternal twin girls.

Seems pretty darn good, unless you believe in the "it skips a generation" myth. I think the statistics for a fraternal twin having fraternal twins is 1 in 60. Fraternal twins on your husbands side doesn't effect you having them since fraternal twins come from when a woman releases multiple eggs, which has to do with her genes. Identical twins come from the mans side, when the sperm hits the egg, which then splits and becomes 2.
