My friends is the grandmother of 2 boys. She has not seen the child's mother since last Sunday nor heard from her. What are the grandmothers rights for the sake of the children in this matter. This has happened more than once she will get missing for weeks at a time then pop back up

Does the grandmother have the kids I assume ? It is not abandonment since the mother left the children well cared for from a criminal standpoint. It can be used for attempts to file for guardianship.
