    Wood Repair of Fascia Board
Piece of wood is unmovable. Only edge of wood is careworn.
Some have suggested Glazing Compound, Glazing Putty and wood dough.
After it dries, you can sand it. Your thoughts?

Cut worn section out and replace with a piece of wood same size. Put glue on edge and screw piece up from bottom. Fill seam with wood putty, sand when dry, prime and paint. Patch will be near invisible.

Taping compound (sheetrock mud) is water soluble and is not designed for outdoor use. Will fall off in short order.

Agreed. Even interior/exterior wood putty is a cheap fix compared to CPES and two part epoxy.
