Husband recently installed inexpensive glueless linoleum in our kitchen. One corner has a defect in the linoleum which I am told is called an orange peel effect. It is noticeable. It is rippled. The top skin is not coming apart from the backing. Is there anything we can do to get this out? I have tried placing a heavy object on a portion of it with no luck. Thanks. Hope this makes sense.

Generally delamination is irreparable. If the surface is blistered, inject an acrylic clear polymer into the bubbled areas and then setting down a flat board until the polymer cures, may work. The polymer is usually a water base and will absorb into the lino surface but will not come through the 10 mil surface vinyl. An art store carries liquid acrylic polymer. Use a hypodermic large needle syringe to inject. If no luck, then the corner is a good tall potted plant candidate. Good luck, nm
