I'm four weeks and a couple days pregnant and woke up this morning with light spotting. When I went into work my cramps got REALLY bad and while my spotting got worse it didn't get as bad as maybe being on my period. The pain comes and goes like a period though. Are these early signs of a miscarry? I scheduled an abortion for the first of August and don't want to spend 450 to get the procedure done if it isn't necessary.

It could be. How bad were the cramps on a scale of 1-10? I, and many women I know, found the cramping on the scale of what labor contractions are. Not everyone does though. The only way you can know for sure is to go to a doctor.

I'd start wearing a pad to see if you dispel any blood clots or tissue. Any way you put it, you will have to go to the doctor. If you do miscarry you need to make sure everything got out or else you could get an infection.
