Anime Movie - Boy with orb on magic staff to repel evil black shadow villain
This is such a dumb question, but what is the name of this movie?!
I must have seen only scenes of the movie from when I was in daycare in early 90s.
The protagonist is a boy, I think, who meets a princess. The boy is a guest in a castle or a kingdom, and in the subterranean levels of the castle or the kingdom he unleashes a black shadow villain. I think he used the king's staff that had a magic orb on top of it to repel and defeat the black shadow villain. The black shadow villain had captured or incapacitated the king.
Maybe it was not a feature-length movie, but only a short movie or story. I think it was an anime movie, but I could be wrong.
