Huskee lawn tractor smokes when started. It quits smoking and upon activating the blades, it smokes again.

It is common to have a bit of smoke when the machine cranks. The smoke when under load could be one of two things; black smoke - a too rich running condition and involes something in the carb, white or bluish/white smoke - oil consumed possibly by the existence of a partially blown head gasket.
