I am 5 months pregnant and the father and myself have been in and out of the relationship for 2 yrs. None the less not an ideal situation.. however all options have come about from keeping bby to adoption even as far as abortion. I don't like the abortion idea so my choice is between basically sucking it up and doing what needs to be done or putting the bby up for adoption. I am sitting on the fence right now and absolutely don't know what to do. One side is give it up. And I will greive the rest of my life knowing I could have made things work regardless of the current situation. Or keep it and yes struggle but know I am going to love this child and be the best parent I know how to be. Which is the right choice? Both have positive and negative outcomes. Help please any input would be appreciated.

I'm sorry, honey--we can't really help you with this. I'm a birthmother (I chose adoption) and I still can't tell you what the best thing to do FOR YOU is.

There are counselors out there that specialize in adoption issues. You would be best served by contacting one and setting up an appointment.

Either choice has lifelong repercussions. You do need the father's consent to choose adoption in most places, though.

Contact your local Planned Parenthood. They should be able to direct you to an adoption counselor who has no stake in your decision.
